1 and 1/2 Angel Food cakes
2 small boxes frozen strawberries
1 large pkg strawberry jello
1 large container CoolWhip
Fresh strawberries for garnish
In a 9x13 dish, break cakes into small pieces. Drained thawed strawberries, saving the juice. Make the jello with 2 cups hot water and use strawberry juice as cold water. (if not enough, add cold tap water). Put strawberries in jello mix. Pour over cake. Refrigerate and let gel overnight. After cake is set, put CoolWhip on top and garnish with fresh strawberries.
* This recipe, I believe was from a Weight Watcher's booklet, so it called for light frozen strawberries and CoolWhip and sugar free strawberry jello. I've always made it with the regular stuff, but if you want to slice off some calories/sugar content - I'm sure it'd be just as good. And it IS tasty!!
